Winter Fun!!

This week the kids have had some good winter fun. On Friday night we had a party with the Relief Society presidency. It was fun to all get together and get to know each other better. The kids played Christmas bingo, and then the older kids helped Tanlie and Brogan start their gingerbread house. When every one left they finished it all by their selves. They did such a good job. On Saturday afternoon we took the kids to see santa at IFA. I will have to post the pictures of them later because they took the pictures for us and they won't be back untill Tuesday. They were also doing horse carriage rides, but it was way too cold for us to ride.
Then on sunday, after church the kids decieded that since there was a skiff of snow on the ground they needed to go sledding. So Brandon pulled them behind the ranger for a little bit. It was sooo cold we had to come inside to warm up with some hot coco. The kids are so excited for Christmas. Tanlie asks everyday how many days are left till Christmas.

Decorating Christmas Trees

On Monday night we got our Christmas tree out. I let the kids help me decorate it, and then when they went to bed I fixed it a little bit. Tuesday we let them each decorate their own Christmas tree for their bedroom. The kids had lots of fun and their tree's turned out pretty cute.
Brogan thinks that since we put the Christmas tree up it is Christmas, and he can't figure out why Santa hasn't brought him his "dinosaur" yet.
Christmas is so much fun when you have little kids. All of us can't wait for Christmas this year.

Disney On Ice!!!

On Saturday we got to go to Disney on ice. This year it was 100 years of magic. They had alot of characters there and did small parts of quite a few disney movies. We met Missy and her girls, and Chet, Alicia and their kids there. All the kids seemed to have a good time.

Singing At Quality!

Last week Tanlie's school got to sing at Quality Market's Christmas open house. She did such a good job. I wanted to video her, but there were so many people I could barely see her good enough to get a few pictures.

Quality also had Santa there so after school we stayed in town to let the kids see Santa. Brylie got tired of waiting and fell asleep, but Brogan and Tanlie were glad to see him even if they had to wait for 45min.

Brogan was a little nervous to sit on Santa's lap, but he did it. He asked for some Dinosaurs.

Tanlie asked for a new CD player.

Halloween

This year we spent Halloween in St. George with Ginger and Quincy. Brandon went hunting with my dad and Chet in Colorado, so we spent the whole weekend in St.George. The kids had lots of fun, we went to a trunk or treat and carnival and then to Aunt Shelly's and Grandma JoAnn's house. To end the night went to the Nuskin mansion. It was really cool they had the outside all decorated. The kids got to ride a little train and they gave out regular sized candy bars and balloons. We had lots of fun, but the kids got really tired, and way too much candy!!!

Pumpkin Carving!!

On Tuesday we took the kids to pick pumpkins at a pumpkin stand over by Meadow. They had lots of fun picking out their pumpkins, even though there weren't many good ones left.

Then last night we had Dallas, Mckell and their kids over for dinner and pumpkin carving. The kids got tired of carving fast so we only got 2 pumpkins done, but we had lots of fun.
The girls enjoyed gutting the pumpkins.
Brogan on the other hand didn't want to touch it too bad he started by picking out the pumpkin seeds one by one.
Then with a little help by dad he decided it wasn't too bad.
Tanlie chose a ghost holding a glitter chain, this is her painting the chain on.

Deer Hunt

This year I drew out for a southern deer tag, so we went to Pangutich and hunted the whole week. Brandon and I took my 88 year old grandpa hunting with us, even though it was cold and bumpy he had so much fun. I am so glad that we were able to take him. I ended up shooting a deer right before dark one night, there were 3 or 4 deer together and I thought that I had shot the pretty good size 4 point. It got too dark to go find it so we went back the next morning, and this is what we found. Oops, I guess that I shot the wrong one. Oh well I guess is will make some good jerky!! My sister Missy went with us and on the way back to town she shot a pretty good 2 point. We had a good time hunting and Brandon was pretty patient with me. ( For those of you that don't know he takes hunting pretty serious.)
Grandpa Henrie all bundled up

While hunting one morning we got a terrible phone call that informed us that my cousin Hutch had been killed in a car accident. I still can't believe that he is gone, he will be missed so much in our family. He leaves behind his beautiful wife who is 2 months pregnant. His family has been through so much they have lost their sister, mom and now brother in 7 years. My heart aches for them. We went to Hutch's funeral on Friday and decided to stay the whole weekend. (Thanks for having us Wayne and Jess.) We went to Thanksgiving point and just hung out and played games at Wayne and Jessica's house. They had close to 30 people staying at their house it was so much fun just to be around all the family.

We love you and will miss you Hutch!!!

A Fun Weekend!!

Last weekend we decided to go to St. George because Tanlie was out of school on Friday. We had such a great time. Most of my family was down there because Panguitch was playing in the 1A state baseball tournament. (For those of you that don't know, my brother-in-law is the coach.) It was fun to watch the baseball games and they ended up taking 2ND place. We stayed with Ginger the whole weekend and had so much fun. We took the kids to hike the crack one night, they had a great time climbing on the red rocks. We also took the kids to Staheli Farms. They loved looking at the animals, riding the cow train, the pumpkin patch, and just playing on all of the other fun stuff that they had there. Thanks for the great weekend Ginger!

The Cow Train!

Brogan and Quincy love each other so much, they have so much fun playing together. Every year they have been the same thing for Halloween, so while we were together we had to get their pictures in their cute dragon costumes! I am so glad that my kids are so close to their cousins, I am so blessed to have such a great family!!!
